Supplementary Legislative Consent Motion: Energy Bill (15 mins) (Pages 1 - 5) NDM4727 John Griffiths (Newport East) That the National Assembly for Wales, in accordance with Standing Order 29.6, agrees that, in addition to the provisions referred to in motion NNDM4634, further provisions which have been brought forward in the Energy Bill relating to Carbon Capture and Storage, in so far as they fall within the legislative competence of the National Assembly for Wales, should be considered by the UK Parliament. A Legislative Consent Memorandum has been laid in Table Office on 3 June 2011 in accordance with Standing Order 29.2(iii). Debate on Higher Education Fees (60 mins) NDM4740 Jane Hutt (Vale of Glamorgan) To propose that the National Assembly for Wales: Welcomes the Welsh Government's plans to reform the funding of part-time higher education and to provide fairer funding for part-time students ordinarily resident in Wales. The
following amendments have been tabled: Delete ‘Welcomes’ and replace with ‘Notes Amendment 2 - Jocelyn Davies (South East Wales) Add as new point at end of motion: Calls on the Welsh Government to ensure that the aim of this reform is to treat part and full-time students as equals. Amendment 3 - Nick Ramsay (Monmouthshire) Add as new point at end of motion: Calls on the Welsh Government to consult fully with higher education institutions when assessing the impact of any changes to funding arrangements for part-time higher education. |
